LIT takes a walk back down memory lane to the nomination and subsequent confirmation of Samuel Alito to the highest court in the country, the United States Supreme Court. Was it the correct appointment or did all the red flags from his resume carry on into his views and opinions from the bench?

Here, Justice Alito takes no responsibility for his actions, says he was not violating any ethical rules by not self-recusing for a conflict of interest – namely a stockholding in Vanguard, a party to the case – and that this was a case involving a pro se, dismissing the need to abide by his oath.
